Recipes using chimpi

Cookies (simple cookies for 60 pieces)

gweak flour 200g
butter 100g
sugar 60g
egg 1 egg
baking powder 1/2 teaspoon
Chimpi 1 tablespoon of Chimpi 16-40 granule
1 tablespoon of Chimpi 60 mesh powder
  1. Put the flour, baking powder, and chimpi together and pass them through sieve.
  2. Cream the butter with a beater, add the sugar and egg, and mix them well.
  3. Put @ into A and mix them lightly.
  4. Using a spoon, scoop up the dough, and place the balls of dough on cookie sheet. Then spread them evenly about 2.5 cm in diameter. (You can make a bar of dough, wrap it with a cling film, and slice it to 5mm in thickness after making it rest in a refrigerator.)
  5. Bake them in an oven at 180˚C.

Daifuku or soft round rice cake stuffed with sweet bean jam
(for 8 pieces) Chimpi produces beautiful yellow as tinted with gardenia.

You can use either white bean jam of black bean jam.
If you want enjoy yellow, white bean jam is preferable.
When you use black bean jam, it would be better to coat the cake with cream.
  1. Put the rice flour, sugar and chimpi in a heat-resisting glass ball and mix them well.
    Put a cling film on the ball and heat it in a microwave (600w) for 4 minutes.
  2. Stir the dough, while it is hot.
  3. Put the dough on a plate dusted with starch, and divide it into eight pieces.
  4. Shape them and wrap 20g of bean jam ball ( prepared in the shape of ball)with each piece.

Pound Cake (using 21cm Angel shaped cake pan) Chimpi produces beautiful yellow.

A 80g of weak flour

sour cream 30g
lemon juice

almond powder

  1. In a large bowl, put the 3 egg whites and gradually add the sugar (divided into several portions) while beating well.
  2. Whisk it further adding the egg yolk one at a time.
  3. Add the flour mixture after passing it through sieve.
  4. Add the dissolve butter in hot water into ?B and mix them while the butter is warm.
  5. Add the sour cream, lemon juice, and almond powder.
  6. Bake it in an oven at 160 for 35 to 45 minutes.

Tangerine flavored rice

rice 360ml
chimpi granule 16-40 1 tablespoon
  1. Usually rice is cooked with tangerine juice. We change the juice with chimpi.
    The flavor is good when cooked.

Vinegared rice for Shushi

rice 360ml
chimpi granule 16-40 1 tablespoon
dried kelp for making stock 7cm
Enmei vinegar & rice vinegar libitum
  1. Cook the rice with the kelp in the same way as the tangerine flavored rice.
    Mix 2 parts Enmei vinegar and one part rice vinegar. and put it into the rice to make vinegared rice for sushi.
    This vinegared rice goes well with salmon, shiitake mushroom (boiled in sweet sauce), rolled omelets, and fried tofu stuffed with rice (If you add roasted sesame, you can enjoy the aroma.)

Dressing

oil 2 tablespoons
vinegar 1 tablespoon
chimpi powder 60 mesh 1 teaspoon
  1. Put all the ingredients together and shake them well.
    You can use olive oil or salad oil for this. But olive oil might be too strong in flavor.
    The dressing has beautiful color and goes well with fresh vegetables. If you put chimpi too much, it might taste bitter.

Tangerine flavored bread

You can use either chimpi granule 16-40 or chimpi powder 60 mesh.
